Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (Today is Valentine’s Day)

Today is February 14, and normally this day is designated as a day for lovers and romantic interests.  The other days of the year should count as well but officially this is “Sweetheart’s Day.” This doesn’t always have to be a romantic thing though. You can wish your mother a happy Valentine’s Day or your children (or just about anybody). This day can also be a day of great depression for some people. When expectations are not met then many relationships can crumble. Love should be displayed continually and not just on one day of the year. Hopefully most couples will keep that thought in account. Valentine’s Day is a great day to have, but in many instances it is almost like Christmas. Some people will expect more than what you can offer (or are willing to offer) and some times that can lead to disagreements. Don’t fake what you feel. When your emotions are not genuine then at some point those emotions will become exposed. If we live long enough, we can’t expect to fake what we feel for the duration of life. You may be substituting hurt for today in place of hurt for tomorrow (and that would not be fair to anyone). I guess I am just saying that you need to be “real.” Most people will appreciate honesty if you exhibit it correctly. That kind of love should be the most precious of all. Have a great Valentine’s Day. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
