Brett Jolly’s Thought for Today (So what “should” happen with this?)

I decided to wait before posting this. I listened to a “lot” of reactions in regards to the “indictment” of Donald Trump before offering my own assessment. “Clearly” the reactions have been “diverse.” There are so many people talking about this, but here is one video:

Maybe it is me, but I think people need to at least “hear all the charges of the indictment” before rushing off to judgment. On the surface this may seem “petty” to some. Having an affair with a porn star dos not seem like a big issue to me, but maybe the 34 other charges may be way more significant. That is why it is important to hear these charges. One thing I do know is that if left unchecked, Trump will “only continue engaging in this type of behavior.” I don’t think anyone will disagree with that. For me the real issue isn’t even about Trump himself, but rather the countless supporters he has behind him. His political allies have been “rather embarrassing at times,” like the many miscalculations of Marjorie Taylor Green, the miscues of Lauren Boebert and the blind eyes of Kevin McCartney and those “unbiased” people from Fox News (yes I am being sarcastic). Right now what we do know is an issue, but what if the charges bring out things we “didn’t” know before? There have been many “alleged” crimes thought to be perpetrated by Trump. Are “ALL these charges unfair and untrue?” Granted, many political figures have engaged in criminal activity before and were never brought to justice. Bill Clinton lied about an affair. Nixon had the Watergate scandal. Bush went to war with a country that was erroneously thought to have weapons of mass destruction. How do the charges of Donald Trump compare to these other issues? I do believe that all accused defendants should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Trump is a 76 year old man that will “probably never set foot in a prison cell.” If found guilty of these crimes, “something” needs to happen to keep him out of politics. If not, is it possible that he could be the very first person to be elected President while incarcerated? This case makes for very interesting “theater.” I strongly suggest you get some popcorn and stay glued to your TV for updates. This may even be bigger than the “Trial of the Century.” Thank you for checking out my Thought for Today and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
