Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought ( How much longer before all civilization breaks down?)

it is to the point now where I almost hate to check out the news. With each passing day I am hearing more and more about this coronavirus epidemic that is spreading throughout the world. Cruise ships are not being allowed to land. Major sporting events are being canceled. Big cities are claiming a state of emergency.  World markets are crumbling. The question is no longer about if the virus gets here. Now the focus is on ‘How long?’ Without a realistic cure in sight, this disease is about to embark on ‘all’ of us. At this point, what can we do to prevent it? Can we really hide from it? We all need interaction with each other in order to survive. This virus makes it difficult to even go outside. In Italy alone, 16 million people remain in quarantine. Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that can cause a range of symptoms including a runny nose, cough, sore throat and fever. Some are mild, such as the common cold, while others are more likely  to lead to pneumonia. They usually spread through direct contact with an infected person. More than 80 countries have confirmed cases.  As bad as the ebola virus was, this has the potential to be even worse. Are you prepared for it? Since this originated in China I think it is important to see what is being done there. They have an enhanced technology and I would think that if they cannot discover a cure then things might not look very positive at this point. The biggest question about all of this is the uncertainty. Will all people who become infected eventually succumb to it? Can this possibly wipe out the world population? At the rate this thing is going, how long before it reaches you? Time will tell. A little prayer might be a great thing right now. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
