Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (That “N” word)

The other day I actually heard someone use that derogatory “N” word that is considered slang. It rhymes with the word “trigger.” This word has often been used many times to describe Black (African American) people in an insulting way. When this guy was saying the word I thought it was wrong. This guy was Black, and he was referring to himself. Naturally, I condemn it when White people (or people of any other color) say it in reference to us. However, if it is truly bad for a person of another race to say the word, then it should be just as bad for people of the Black race to say it as well. Naturally, some people will still harbor the word and some might even murmur it under their breath at times. If you use the word, it doesn’t say much about the person you are referring to, but it sure says a lot about you. I have heard the word used in rap songs done by Black artists. Some people will use the word to antagonize, but it is important to make sure you don’t let other people control your anger. Naturally, if Black people refer to themselves in this fashion then can we blame other races for referring to us the same way? If there is a way to do a mind cleanse then this is one of the things we need to clear out. Hopefully you understand where I am going with this. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
