Due to the holidays we had been off for the past 2 weeks. Christmas fell on a Wednesday night and New Years day did too so we stayed home those days. The good thing is when we started back up again last night we still had people there. Live music has been slowly disappearing from a lot or venues, but judging from our crowds people still love to hear it. Last night we did not have a lot of our regular crowd, but we had a lot of first timers that came out. Many came to just listen but there were some great singers in attendance as well. Even though on some occasions people forgot words and arrangements we still had a lot of fun. This particular lady (I think her name was Audrey, but I’m not sure) was a prime example. The thing about our Wednesday night event is not necessarily about how well you sing. The fact that you are allowed to take the stage and perform is what makes this so much fun. This is not karaoke. This is a live band type of performance, so this is as close as you can get to a concert setting. If you are ever in Philadelphia, PA on a Wednesday night I hope you come have fun with us at the Crab Tavern, 201 North Macdade Blvd in Darby, PA, from 8:00 to 12 midnight. We keep live music alive. I could tell you a lot more, but you just need to “be there.” Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
