Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (Finally, the Metoo movement rolls on)

For a while there I honestly thought the Metoo movement was only designed to imprison Bill Cosby. There were a LOT of accusations about a lot of men but for some strange reason it felt like the only one to be tried, accused and sentenced was Mr. Cosby. Currently he is in jail, and since then not much else has happened…. until “now.” Harvey Weinstein is currently in New York for charges of sexual harassment and other sexual violations. Once his trial is done here he may face another trial in Los Angeles. It had been “alleged” that Mr. Weinstein used his position as a famous producer to manipulate women and aggressively force them into unwanted sex acts. For those of you who are not familiar with this case here is the article:

If this case incriminates Mrs. Weinstein and finds him guilty than there could be a “lot” of implications for other men who have behaved along the same lines. Just like Jeffrey Epstein (who died during incarceration), power has a way of changing people (sometimes for the worst). Weinstein deserves a fair trial. Everyone does. The biggest ┬álesson we can learn from this is how to change the system so that things like this can never happen again. Women should never be abused under any circumstances, but unfortunately it seems to happen a lot more than what it should. I am not sure as to why it took so long for this trial to happen, but I hope that everyone pays attention to it. If Mr. Weinstein is indeed found guilty then he should be subjected to the penalties of law just like anyone else. We have to trust in the fairness of his trial. I will be paying attention. Will you? Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
