For those of you following the latest news regarding our President and Iran, the current events have appeared to be somewhat unsettling. For those of you who don’t already know, tensions have already escalated between Tehran and the US, with each side claiming terroristic attacks from the other. The event that seemed to take it over the edge for most was the recent killing of one of their lead generals, Qassem Soleimani. Whether the killing was justified depends heavily on who you ask. According to reports, Soleimani had a lot of American blood on his hands (and allegedly was willing to cause more). The United States said that killing him was an act to stop war rather than encourage it. We have threatened retaliation against those who are threatening to retaliate against us. We have been to war against Iran before. For me, I am against killing (unless, of course, under the act of self defense). Naturally, if someone is killing others then that person needs to be stopped before more harm is inflicted. Once someone is dead you cannot bring them back. I do know that life is precious. ALL life… We need to let go of the past and set a plan for the present in order to have a chance for peace. The President already has a lot to contend with. Some even say that World War III is on the horizon. Time will tell just how bad this will get. In the meantime, I suggest we all “pray.” The way things look right now, we all may need it. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
