Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (Kanye West now a Christian?)

When I first saw this a lot of thoughts went through my mind. Whether you love or hate Kanye West you have to admit he at least appears to be headed in the right direction now. During his often radical career Kanye has said a “lot” of things that have been questionable in some people’s minds. He had not appeared to be very stable in my eyes. He has been diagnosed as being bipolar and he admitted to having a sex addiction while on medication. So who and what is Kanye West now? Here is the latest news on him:

I do believe that when you are coming into favor with God then your life is headed in the right direction. For Kanye’s situation I want to see just “how long it will last.” Do I believe that as a Christian Gospel rap artist he will endure the same success that he had as a secular artist? No, I don’t.  I just can’t picture Gospel rap as being that popular… “yet.” Maybe Kanye can change all that, but for right now I am a non-believer.  If his career sags, will he stay where he is? I sincerely hope so, but part of the legacy of Jesus is his suffering. Naturally if Kanye’s career suffers then he would fall in line with what Christ went through. While it is great to hear him talking about the love of the Lord there are still signs that he may be on heavy medication. I can’t say it for sure, but I do wish him the utmost of success and respect. Mace was a successful rapper who found the love of God and switched gears in his career. Mace is nowhere close to where he was career-wise, and I had heard that he is now trying to get back to his secular ties. Good luck to him. Time will tell if Kanye made the right decision for himself. It feels weird to hear him talk this way, but I like his direction now compared to what it was. Maybe if he can find happiness it will inspire others to follow suit. Let’s see… Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
