I love what I do, but it means a lot more to me if “others” like what I do. For many years I have been playing music. I have played songs I know and I have played songs that I don’t know. In some instances I have played songs that I have never heard before. I’m not interested in building up ego. I just love to play music. After all these years I was invited out to Conshohocken, PA to receive an award for my contributions to the music industry. In fact, my entire Wednesday Night band received awards that night, and it was special. As a musician, you are only as good as the “cats you play with.” The guys that are with me on Wednesday nights are exemplary. When we first started this I let them know that we would “not” be playing the same tunes each night. They have more than risen to the challenge and now we have something truly special going on. I realize that awards may not seem like something big, but it feels really great to know that “someone, somewhere appreciates you.” That makes this special to me. I want to thank those for this honor and I hope to continue to do more. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought and as always I wish the very best to you and your family.
