Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (“Where are we headed?)

Just hours after President Trump carried out a missile attack on Isis territory US war ships headed towards North Korea for a possible confrontation there. Aggression seems to be at a very high pitch and this weekend could easily be one of extreme violence. When the US dropped “the mother of all bombs” on the Isis terrorists it has now been estimated that about 36 of them were killed. Isis has committed many terrorist acts in the past years and has been considered to be a threat to all peaceful existence. North Korea has been building up it’s missile capabilities and has threatened to bring about a nuclear confrontation if provoked. Here is the current story.

Any possibility for loss of life is devastating to imagine, but if diplomacy cannot win over world leaders then war may very well be eminent. If we all are to survive on this planet then ALL parties need to emphasize “peace first.” Strength doesn’t necessarily have to be shown through power. If parties are willing to talk through differences then a “different kind of strength can prevail.” There are no winners in war… I sincerely hope that thoughts of escalation subside so that this weekend can be one without incident. All human life should be precious, and if we truly do value life then we need to take that concept into account. Wherever you are in this world, I sincerely hope that your existence is not interrupted by violence this weekend. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought today, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
