The joy of music is not necessarily found from what you bring to yourself, but rather from the joy you bring to others. When people are grooving to music you are providing it makes you feel great. Michael Jackson once said, “There’s no other feeling like it in the world.” He was right… Whether you are performing to a big audience or a “not so big” audience music goes well when others enjoy it with you. My Wednesday night events are really special to me. It is our chance to give back to the community the joy of what “live” music can do. Most of what we do is spontaneous (Since we are professional musicians we never have time to rehearse) and every night we will call out some song that we have never played before and play it on the spot. Even though from time to time we will make small mistakes that never takes away from the joy resulting of entertaining our audience. If you are ever in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area on a Wednesday evening I invite you to come to nearby Darby, PA (The Crab Tavern, 201 North Macdade Boulevard) between the hours of 8:00 to 12 midnight. It is much more than just music, and we are much more than your ordinary open mic event. We joke all the time, we entertain but most of all we “have fun.” Here is another sample of what we do. I am the one in the “light lavender colored shirt.” Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
