Brett Jolly’s Daily Thought (“Another group that I liked”)

Back in the day these guys were very popular. When listening to their recordings I always had doubts about them because the voices didn’t feel real to me. After finally getting to witness their live concert I began putting the pieces together. First, the music they had was great and no one should ever try to take that from them. Whoever wrote their material were awesome writers. When watching them perform live, I realized that the lead singer is the one whose voice carried the others. On the recordings it sounds like most of the harmonies were done by the same man (and that would have been the lead singers voice). When watching them perform live I did notice that there were more people in the band with microphones singing background to help out his brothers hit those high notes. The lead singer has this incredible falsetto that must have wreaked havoc on his vocal chords each and every night. You can tell by the way his neck contracts when singing that he is doing an an unnatural falsetto that sounds like he ingested helium. Whatever the case, the formula “worked.” I don’t know if these guys are still performing concerts or not. I do know that one of them died (or maybe more) but their music was great. I will see if I can Google their current status. However, today I would like to present one of my favorite groups from back in the day, and that group would be the Bee Gees. Thank you for checking out my Daily Thought, and as always I wish you the very best that life has to offer:
