“An evening with Bon Jovi…” Tonight at the Kimmel Center here in Philadelphia I have the distinct pleasure to perform for the “Marian Anderson Awards.” This is a very special function that promotes the accomplishments of big name starts who also “give back to the community.” This year’s featured recipient is the legendary Bon Jovi. So let’s see… I have rehearsals with the actual artists today at 1:00 and then the show will be later tonight. Also featured this evening will be Grammy award winning artist Estelle (“American Boy”) and the All American Rejects-acoustic, with comedienne Wanda Sykes as the emcee. To be honest, I never was much of a Bon Jovi fan, but for this show I managed to look him up and I must admit he has great skills. Of course, the song that we will be doing, “Living on a Prayer” had to be “lowered” a half step because the vocal range on the original track is “extremely high.” We will have fun doing this show and I hope to provide more details of the show tomorrow. Right now I “still” don’t know the full story of what we are supposed to do, but whatever it is, I will be “ready” for “anything.” If anyone reading this will happen to be in the Philadelphia area tonight and has money to spare for tickets, you are more than welcome to attend this event. Thank you and as always, I wish you the very best that life has to offer.
